PUBLICO is a UST-based band, composed of Thomasian alumni coming from various colleges.

It was formed last 2002, when the original members were still studying under UST High School. For the past years, they have been consistently performing in various university-wide activities, bars and in private parties as well.

The band regularly performs at Freedom Bar in Anonas, Quezon City.

PUBLICO prevailed as the Grand Prize Winner of UST ICON Bandfest last October 2004, and appeared as a Guest Band in MTV VJ Hunt 2004 and UST Paskuhan 2005. They were also featured at the 2nd Annual Fete Dela Musique held last June 30, 2006 at SM Mall of Asia, and at Breakfast in Studio 23 last August 23, 2006.

They were hailed as the Grand Prize Winner of the first Pasiklaband '06, organized by the New Intramuros Village Youth Circle last May 21, 2006. They competed against 25 bands coming from various places around the metro, which were screened during the auditions, and eventually trimmed down to 10 groups for the contest proper.

PUBLICO is the official representative of University of Santo Tomas and the only band from Metro Manila who made it to the Grand Finals of Nescafe Soundskool 2006 held last November 11, 2006 at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium. They competed against 9 other bands, 3 from Luzon and 6 from Visayas and Mindanao.

Their single, "Ikaw Ang Star," the official jingle of Star City is currently being played at Yes FM and Love Radio, while "Lipas" is enjoying airplay at RJ Underground Radio 105.9 FM, and consistently garnering the top slot in the UR Countdown for the past months.

The band released their EP last April 2006, consisting of 5 original compositions, which gained them a wide audience in the industry.
