Acidradio started as a project band early 1995 in Tacloban city, Leyte. Initiated by Chip Canonigo during high school days and had Domz Anacion, Leander Lim, Jeff Cloa as its original lineup. The project band subsided because of inconsistent support of its members due to personal plans, and its started going their own ways. In 2003, Chip relocated to Manila, took Kym Lacambra with him and revived the band in the big city. Restarted as a three-piece band, with bassist Rakissa, then after, the late Shepard Tabios. Before Shepard's death, original member, Domz relocated to Manila in 2004 for work and later on replaced the former as bassist. Only after a few gigs, personal differences between Chip and Kym led to the hiatus of the band. It was only in early 2007, the band reconciled and re-emerged with new plans, new songs and a new guitarist Kino Lacambra, Kym's younger brother. The new line-up of Acidradio started to perform again more often than before. They recorded some of their original songs for plans of an upcoming album that may be released independently.
Acidradio has been out of the spotlight in summer 2009 but recently kicked off again with new gigs around the metro. Sadly, Acidradio bassist Domz left the band for personal reasons and drummer Kym left indefinitely due to health reasons. Dave Baņez takes over as the new bassist and Pasipara drummer Al Verona replaces Kym. The band recently performed for a Radiopilipinas.com event at Al's Bar and at the Watering hole. Please check the band's event schedule or at their website (www.acidradioband.com) for upcoming gigs
